As the largest provider of pediatric services in New York State and ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation, Schneider Children's Hospital is a full-service, acute care, medical, and surgical hospital, providing sophisticated treatment in all disciplines, from injuries (recognized as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center) to common childhood diseases, as well as more serious illnesses such as cancer and heart disease.

Located in New Hyde Park, New York, and serving Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as the entire New York metropolitan area, Schneider Children's Hospital provides the most comprehensive care for children ranging from the smallest premature infant (as a NY State- designated Perinatal-Neonatal Center) through young adulthood.


Schneider is a regional center for lung rescue, bone marrow transplantation, cardiac surgery, neonatology and cystic fibrosis. Each unit of the hospital features its own nursing and social work staffs, as well as playrooms appropriate to the age of the patients. It has one of the largest pediatric residency programs in the country, training pediatric specialists to care for future generations. Six consultation centers extend the reach of our physicians and services to Manhattan, Bensonhurst, Williamsburg, Flushing, Hewlett and Commack. Schneider Children's Hospital is the only hospital on Long Island that is solely dedicated to the care of children and has been named one of America's Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
